Update | Reformed Fellowship Church of Kenya

RFCK NEWS UPDATE–World reports about eastern Africa paint a grim picture of food supplies and famine. The brothers in the RFCK have requested $1,500.00 per month to buy food for the church members. The funds we have would last less than two months at that rate. We have committed to send $500.00 a month. Presently we have about three months’ worth of funds left in this category.

Another need–We have been sending $750.00 per month ($9000.00 per year) for the 90 +/- orphans there. We have the funds in place to cover this level of commitment through the end of 2022, but will further support from the churches to continue beyond December of this year.

We have been working very hard on spiritual needs. We have nearly a year under our belts of seminary training for the pastors there. There has been no funding other than gifts to support this effort but yet Heidelberg Seminary pressed forward with the precious funds sent in to help with this cause. Thanks be to God; Synod has earmarked funds for this important project. There are about ten men enrolled in these classes and there is another reformed group in Kenya that may also join in on these important classes so that the whole counsel of God may be taught in those lands. This is super-efficient compared to sending teachers there at a cost of $60,000 a year. It also allows for various pastors and teachers to contribute their talents in areas where they excel.

Please continue to financially support and be in prayer for these brothers and sisters in foreign lands as well as for those here in the United States working to minister to them.
