“Real Calvinism…the way it was meant to be.”

Meeting in Medellín, Colombia, Calvinists leaders from across Latin America met to strategize about training new ministers and planting churches. Seminario Reformado de las Américas was a key player in developing a strategic planning group that would prioritize seminary education, and translation efforts. Seminario Reformado was formed through the efforts if volunteers from the URCNA, RCUS and CitySeminary.org.

The new 4-year Reformed Seminary based in Quito, Ecuador marks the dramatic shift among U.S.-based mission groups away from sending foreign missionaries, and toward developing indigenous pastors. The new seminary already has 18 students from five countries, with plans underway to open the door to mire students in January. student recruitment has been greatly aided by City Seminary which opened its scholarship fund for students to attend el Seminario Reformado.
