Katalin Novak, Member of Hungarian Reformed Church, Becomes First Female President of Hungary

Katalin Novak becomes the first female President of Hungary. Novak is a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church. In an interview, she revealed that “although she started reading the scriptures daily as an adult, she now finds it inconceivable to start her day without it.”

“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,” said Novak. “in this part I am aware every time: the country, the power and the glory are not mine, not ours, but only God’s. It is also clear from this verse that power, [the] office comes from grace. And this thought equips you with strength, energy, a real sense of security. I know that the kingdom belongs to God, and that does not make me idle, but rather liberates me, because I have the opportunity to participate in his world as a servant, and that makes my work and my life meaningful.”
