Young Adult Reformed Fellowship

Young Adult Reformed Fellowship (YARF) met again in Aberdeen, SD September 8-10. This time we saw 15 attendees, from 5 different churches. (Watertown, Aberdeen, Eureka, Sioux Falls, and Greeley) Attendees arrived Friday evening for some Nachos and Cards at the fellowship hall. After cleaning up, we left for a campfire and smores at the Bowen residence. After a rainy night, we got up early for a pancake/sausage breakfast at the fellowship hall. After breakfast, we assembled at Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s build site to build beds for children in the Aberdeen community. Together with volunteers of the community, we built over 20 beds! Once we finished with lunch, our young adults spent some time at the local arcade, Allevity Entertainment. Together we played a variety of games including laser tag (probably the favorite), mini-bowling, bumper cars, virtual reality roller coasters, and various arcade games. We ended the second day with another campfire, some root beer floats, and some time in prayer for home missions. On Sunday we worshipped with our fellow saints in Aberdeen and said goodbye as we went our separate ways. Thank you, First Reformed Church, for hosting us. Praise God for His faithfulness and mercy to His children.
