Current Installations in the Northern Plains Classis

The Northern Plains Classis rejoices with great thanksgiving over the installation of two ministers to our body.
On Sunday evening, September 10th the Rev. Jimmy John Hall was installed as the pastor of Eureka, SD Reformed Church after the Rev. James Grossmann had left in March to assume the charge in Manitowoc, WI. Jimmy John returns to the RCUS ministry after a couple of years of being without a charge and he and his family are excited to be in Eureka and fitting in well. The installation officers were the Rev. Paul Henderson preaching the charge to the minister, the Rev. Dave Irwin the charge to the congregation, and the Rev. Hank Bowen officiating.
On Friday, October 13th the Rev. Kevin Pulliam was installed as the pastor of Christ Reformed Church in Minot, ND filling a vacancy spanning just over two years after the retirement of Rev. Phil Poe. We are thankful for the work of Elder Jim Snyder who along with the consistory ably supplied the preaching and teaching needs of the congregation. Kevin comes to us after ten years of ministry in other bodies on a trek into the Reformed faith. His wife Rachael and nine year old daughter Ruth (who celebrated her birthday on this day) are settling in well to the Minot community and will make a good addition to our Classis. The Installation officers were the Rev. Michael Voytek preaching the charge to the minister, the Rev. Michael Lassley the charge to the congregation, and the Rev. Hank Bowen officiating.
Even with filling these two of our nine congregations, the Northern Plains Classis still asks you to pray that the Lord would send men to fill our vacant pulpits in Pierre and Mitchell, SD. Currently, Hope Reformed Church in Pierre is being supplied by Pastor Emeritus Rev. Bill Haddock who will retire from his job with the state in December, along with students from Heidelberg Theological Seminary. Grace Reformed Church in Mitchell is being supplied by retired minister Rev. Paul Henderson along with students from Heidelberg Theological Seminary and other retired pastors.
