Grows Gospel Witness in South Central Iowa
A small but steadily growing mission work in South Central Iowa is strengthening its gospel witness through community engagement, institutional chaplaincy, and consistent preaching and teaching.
Immanuel Reformed Fellowship (IRF), a church plant of the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS), continues to expand its ministry footprint in the South Central Iowa area while working toward becoming a fully particularized congregation.
Planted in 2019, the fellowship began meeting in nearby Oskaloosa before relocating to Pella after the rental facility it was using became unavailable. While the work started off strong, the plant weathered the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, logistical challenges, and emerging digital options of worshiping online. Despite these obstacles, IRF steadily built momentum through local outreach and community partnerships.
