Church News: RCUS Youth Retreat

Over 30 RCUS teens from across Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska and Colorado gathered for a Mid-Winter Youth Retreat in Casper, Wyoming on March 1-3, 2024. Hosted by Christ Reformed Church (Casper), this youth retreat provided the opportunity for young adults to build upon relationships formed at Heidelberg Youth Camp in the Black Hills. Spearheaded by young adults, Emma and Mya Hager (Casper), and supported by our church leaders and parents, the weekend featured icebreakers, meal time conversation with fantastic food, devotions led by Rev Matt Powell, ice skating, a hymn sing at a nursing home, and a variety of interactive group games to match every personality. Local parents and church members provided meals, served as chaperones, and opened their homes for overnight guests. The exciting weekend wrapped up with worship together on Sunday morning. It was a blessed time for both the church hosts and the young adults.
