Covenant East Classis held its annual spring meeting on March 3-4, 2026, at Northland Reformed Church, Kansas City, MO. The delegates for the Classis arrived the night before the meeting to enjoy fellowship and a great meal titled “the Taste of Italy,” graciously served by the members of Northland Reformed Church!
Tuesday morning, Rev. Sam Rodriguez opened the Classis meeting with prayer, the singing of “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” and a devotion from 2 Corinthians 12:7-10. When the roll was taken, eight ministers and six elders were present. Rev. Rodriguez was elected to continue serving as our Classis president. Rev. Christopher Campbell was elected to serve as vice president, and Rev. James Grossmann was reelected to serve as the stated clerk. Synod President Roger Gallimore was welcomed and seated in the bar of the house. The first-time elder delegates were introduced: Elder Tracy Reimann (St. Paul’s Evangelical Reformed, Hamburg, MN) and Elder Glen Baas (Northland Reformed, Kansas City, MO). Rev. Jay Fluck was welcomed back into our Classis. Mr. Joshua Monson, who has been preaching a couple of Sundays a month at Grace Reformed in Rogers, AR, was also welcomed. We also extended the right hand of fellowship to Rev. Carl Gobelman, who now serves Peace RCUS, Napoleon, OH. Sadly, we did not have any fraternal delegates present.
