But is it really — especially when it comes to advancing God’s Kingdom?
Scripture reminds us, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness” (Psalm 24:1). Everything we have — whether money, property, or possessions — ultimately belongs to Him and is entrustedto us as stewards. That means faithful generosity isn’t limited to what’s in our wallets or checkbooks.
In fact, giving non-cash assets — such as stock, real estate, business interests, commodities, or machinery — can often be a wiser, more impactful way to support the work of Christ through the RCUS. Here’s how:
Reduce your tax burden. You may receive a deduction for the fair market value of your gift and avoid capital gains taxes on the sale of appreciated assets.
Simplify your life. You can give assets you no longer need or want to manage, turning them into ministry that blesses others.
